View In AppThe Department of War released the fifth tranche of declassified UAP files on August 7, 2026, continuing the PURSUE disclosure effort hosted at WAR.GOV/UFO.
The release adds 41 items, including at least 12 videos, with records from the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, State Department, and Executive Office of the President covering 1950 to 2026. Unlike earlier releases focused on sensor footage, this batch centers heavily on FBI FD-302 interview records, many paired with 2026 artist renderings of objects that were never photographed.
Historical files include a 1947 review of the “ghost rocket” sightings over Scandinavia and a 1953 Navy analysis of the Tremonton, Utah and Great Falls, Montana UFO films. A 1963 Brazil case describes a metallic sphere reportedly recovered from a deep hole with unusual features and a nearby human-like figure.
Modern files are dominated by FBI interviews, including reports from a commercial pilot describing high-altitude lights and a triangle over Bagram Airfield, multiple triangle sightings near Colorado Springs, an Army veteran encounter, thermal footage captured by a government agent of two slow-moving objects, and a witness report involving red lights, night-vision anomalies, and a time discrepancy.
Like previous PURSUE releases, the fifth tranche focuses on firsthand accounts from military personnel, investigators, and witnesses, showing how U.S. agencies have documented unexplained aerial events across eight decades.
